There were lots of picnic tables with umbrellas for us to dine at. A few of us opted for the Whistle Burger which turned out to be a beef patty covered in chili wrapped in a bun.

The beef patty provided some texture in the sandwich; otherwise it was dull. I couldn't determine the cheese or bacon flavours. The chopped white onion included some depth to the hamburger structure. The bun was very dry and flaky. Expense commented "More chili on burger than burger." Mike wrote "This hamburger was everything about chili.

The sauce added taste without excessive grease, the bacon was crisp and fresh, however the cheese, lettuce and other garnishes were practically undetectable." Karen reviewed the Fatboy "It had a soft Kaiser roll with heaps of saucy lettuce and big tomato. The hamburger is chewy-thin and truly dark coloured.

A couple of burgerettes had the bacon burger. "The patty looked like a frozen hamburger patty and kind of tasted like one as well however the bacon was great and crispy" stated Mireille.

Viewpoints differed on the french fries and I suspect they tasted best when they were hot. A terrific function of the WPD is that it shares the parking lot with a DQ and as everybody knows, burgers should constantly be followed up with ice-cream.

All's well, that ends well!.
